My family and I would like to thank everyone who shared in the celebration of my father's life. He was a wonderfully generous man who was loved and respected by all who touched his life. He will be greatly missed. The overwhelming outpouring of support and kindness during this very difficult time will never be forgotten. Thank you all for being there. Fred Serafini

This is one story I never forgot….Shortly after moving into our 3rd Floor apartment at 409 East St, I told Fred one evening that the toilet was leaking, had to jiggle the handle to stop the water from running type of thing.
After he checked it out, he said "I've got to go to Sears for parts, wanna take a ride" I said sure, why not, and off we went.
Now, this was before the West Farm Mall was there, and Sears was the place to be. That store was huge for 1963, and it was always very busy. So, we go down to the basement where they had the bathroom repair parts and also had bathtub, sinks and toilets displays set up for remolding ideas etc. So, we are walking around, joking at the displays, killing time waiting for a salesperson to wait on us.
Then Fred said, "Boy, my legs and feet are kind of tired, I'm gunna sit down for a bit" [He must have had a tough day doing a floor job or something]. So in the middle of the crowded showroom, he goes to the nearest toilet, lifts the seat cover and has a seat, as if he was using it, with his elbow on his thigh and resting his chin in the palm of his hand, and say "Oooo, Oooo" in a funny tone of voice while smiling, and moving his head left and right. [I don't know, maybe an Italian thing or something].
Now I don't know if he was trying to get attention or something, well he did, as a small crowd was gathering and everyone was pointing laughing.
Well, seeing all of this I lost it, I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes,... like I have now….
This guy had such a great sense of humor, a lot of fun….May God bless you Fred and may you rest in piece, Amen……Dan Greer

Hi Barbara, Freddie, Robert and family, Its been a long time since we made contact and we were deeply sadden on the news of your loss. We met when we were looking for an apartment and lived with you at 409 East Street as newly weds back in 1963. Both of you were like family, and we all had alot of laughs. Hard to believe that you were the landlords. It was an enjoyable 3yrs. I never knew that Fred's middle name was Primo, boy and "Primo" he was no matter what he did. An excellent tradesmen, softball fast pitcher, and most important a family man with a great sense of humor that was pretty hard to top. For the short time that we knew him, what we have left are the great memories that we never will forget. Fred and Barb will always have a small place in are hearts!! Please except are sincere condolences, Love, Dan and Myrna Greer
