Barbara Franceschelli, 87, died Friday morning at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Barbara was born in New Britain on July 4, 1922, the daughter of the late Vincent and Rachel (D'Agostino) Franceschelli. She lived most of her life in New Britain and retired from the Travelers Insurance Co. after 12 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Barbara was a world traveler and enjoyed the adventures of seeing new sights. She had lots of energy, even during her dialysis she was planning on a cruise for this October. She always attended and enjoyed her "cousins-dinners" each month where she was able to bond with her cousins. She cherished and loved her many friends whom she held dear to her heart. Barbara is survived by a niece, Helaine Flan-Vick and husband Danny Vick of North Carolina and a nephew, Jeffrey Flan of Seal Beach, Calf. She is also survived by her many cousins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers; Anthony Flan and Carmen Franceschelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M at St. Joseph's Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, on Tuesday morning from 9:30 A.M until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 195 South Main St, New Britain, CT 06051 or St. Ann's Church, 47 Clark St. New Britain, CT 06051
