Dear Matante Marie, Bruce, Tina, Brenda, Dana and all of your families. Especially at this time, I send each of you warm, comforting hugs. Please know that I and all of the Oakes family share your grief and feel great sadness upon learning of M’oncle Munds death. The picture of him that was chosen for this site touched my heart as soon as I saw it! What a wonderful person, M’oncle has always been. I can hear his laugh as I write this to each of you in the family. M’oncle Mund has always been and remains a precious soul. I trust there was quite a welcoming party when He stepped away from this life and transitioned to a higher level. I like to think that Memere and Pepere Plourde, Matante Jackie, M’oncle Normand and M’oncle Louis, also some of our family members and M’Oncle’s dear friends who passed before him have embraced and welcomed him with joy. Beside our friends and family You can be assured that comfort and encouragement can be found in the Bible. At Revelations 21: 4 you can read of a time when pain and suffering will be no more.
