I was George's student for several years in the early 90s. He taught me how to draw properly, and to say his tutelage profoundly changed the course of my life is an understatement. He was not only a generous, wise and patient teacher, but also a Master of the craft; the unique way he rendered and perfected the traditional crosshatch technique was never less than astounding. I will always be humbled and grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him, and for the honor of sharing time at the drawing table with this esteemed and important Artist. Let his work shine on to inspire future generations of artists to come.

I can't believe that it has been a year since Georges passing. We (the Ginotti Family) will always remember his "open door" nature for anyone to join him in his art room at Apple Rehab. Our mother Lillian,at the age of 94, would love to venture in to visit. As did our father, Carl, to talk about the good old days in New Britain and the N.B. Herald.

I never met George but have always been a great admirer of his work. I worked at the Burritt Bank (Trolley Trestle Office) in Newington years and years ago. I can still remember a display of George's work in our lobby and how much it was admired. I also remember one drawing in particular of a landmark home in New Britain; the one on the corner of West Main Street and High Street, across from the old post office. I had to buy it. With all the changes in the city, I love that the best of New Britain was documented so well in George's work. Unfortunately, I have lost track of my drawing and wish I still had it to remind me of my home town. If anyone has information about availability of any of George's work, I would be eager to learn how to replace my lost drawing and add more beautiful examples of his talent.

I am so sorry to hear that George has passed. We was a kind and gentle soul. I attended drawing classes at Dick Blick with him. He was always encouraging. Such great talent. I know he is til drawing and is guiding all of his many students from above. When I was working as a hairdresser I remember him telling me he would not let anyone else cut his hair. He knew I wouldn't cut too much off. Rest in Peace George. Thank you for the beautiful mural you painted for our Restaurant. Love Rose Ann

My mother Lillian (93yrs old) resides at the Apple Rehab and loves to draw with her colored pencils. George would often say to me...."have her come to the drawing room anytime" while he was there. Even when my father resided there (for a short time)in the room next to George, he always had a "good morning, Carl". His room was always open for a "hello" visit. He will be missed as well as his artwork. Our deepest sympathy and blessing.

Erin and Sara: I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I know from your mom how much he loved you both and how much you both took care of him when he needed you to. You are both awesome daughters; to both your dad and your mom. You and your mom need to draw strength from each other and take care of each other, always. I'm thinking of you all.

Since Sunday September 29th I was able to witness the tremendous fortitude that George exhibited. I also was able to see the Love he received at the highest level by his beautiful daughters. All three, are quite the Soldiers. I know that George is now free of all his pain, and that is a Blessing. I always believe that each day delivers a Life Lesson, my lesson learned since Sunday, September 29th is Keep your Loved Ones Close, and appreciate your good health.

I worked with George in the early 80s at the New Britain Herald. I saw the article about him this summer in The Observer and assumed I had enough time to contact him to say Hello. For that I am sorry George. My condolences to his family. He was a mentor and a gentle man and I so respected his talent. I dug into my portfolio & found the collage of us in the office at the Herald. We had a lot of fun there and I am often draw to those early memories. Rest in Peace my friend. Love, Toni
