Our paths first crossed about 45 years ago when I was in the theater with his parents. We then met again at Timberlin, where we began playing golf with my wife Lisa and some special friends Bob Zielinski Teddy the mailman among others. It was running 18 holes mixed with gardening {fixing divots, racking traps etc.! Some of the best memories! He was a friend, coworker, big brother.
I will always remember his greatest line that he rehearsed for some 50 plus years!

Armen was a legend. When I 1st became the mailman for Timberlin, he'd always meet me at the box and complain about the mail they were receiving. Always too many bills, never any checks. Over the years we became close and with all due respect to Teddy, when Armen saw my wife and I he always shout" Hey, there's Mary the Caterer & the Mailman". While Armen knew my name "The Mailman" was always the greeting. Armen, thank you for being you. We'll hold those memories with us and keep an eye on Marc for you, Love Mary & Ron

We met Armen when we started morning leagues at Timberlin and looked forward to seeing him when we were at the golf course. Always, Armen was such a proud father and grandfather to Marc's boys. We would often see him waiting in the afternoon to pick up the boys via golf cart at the end of Don Bates Drive; always joyful, with a smile, wave, a hello. Armen will be sorely missed. Q: What will you never forget about Armen?
A: Armen was simply put the best. I have many found memories working with Armen and Marc at Timberlin. This will truly tell you how Armen was. When I took the head golf professional job at Riverview Country Club in Pennsylvania, Armen watched over my son TJ while he was working. Always brought him food. He treated TJ like a son. Armen I never got the chance to say this: thank you I appreciate both your kindness and friendship my brotha.

Dear Marc and Family,
I will always remember Armen for many wonderful and kind acts. First was his love and loyalty to his family. He cared for each one of them, with a special love, that was present every moment of his life, that when needed he was truly happy and felt welcomed to be a father, grandfather, and husband.
I have a picture of him holding an American flag attached to a hole marker. It is a picture of my friend who was called up to our Country and you and I, in a war. In the battleground, he served with bravery for over a year, getting shot at and wounded.. His love of country earned him three Purple Hearts, and he earned the rank oof Sargent, in the U S Marines.
Working with him at Timberlin was a experience, never to be forgotten. In many ways he was still a Marine. To him….he was not just a Starter, but customer service. It had to be perfect. The customers who came from far away came back again because of how he would be at their service. He could always think of something on and off the course. .
Lastly, I will always remember him for all the qualities he displayed to me, of simply being a human being.

Q: What will you miss most about Armen?
A: Armen Bayram was a starter in Timberlin, I met him there, and I could feel his great spirit without wavering, a strong man doing the right things for the golfing groups, it impressed me, made me stop, and ask him if he was alright, and he looked at me solidly with his eyes, and said ‘of course’. A good man without even saying anything! I will miss him.

As a long time member of the Berlin Lions Club, I have many fond memories of Armen as he rushed around the grounds making sure each and every food booth was well stocked with their items to serve. I think it’s reasonable to say the fairs of that generation would not have been what they were without his strong work ethic and dedication to service. In addition those fairs would not have been as enjoyable to work had it not been for his infectious humor and smile. I personally had the honor of getting to know him on a more personal level at Timberlin along side Marc and he was the true definition of a gentleman, always warm, welcoming and willing to share a joke. He seemed to adopt each and every young golfer as his own and treated them with the same respect and concern he did with adults. My son growing up at Timberlin would look for Armen to share a smile, wave or friendly conversation. He was a true gem and a treasure that we all shall cherish in our memories. My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family and I pray for Armen to rest in peace.

I first met my FRIEND and fellow VETERAN, Armen, at his restaurant Bayram's. Through the years we spent many days playing golf and then working together, for his son Marc, at Timberlin. We bonded like brothers and became best of friends, playing together in many tournaments. I'll always remember and cherish the good times and fond memories, that we shared as we grew older, together. I love you and will miss, my brother. Extending my sincere and heartfelt condolences to Barbara, MarcS, MarcW and Max.
