Ed loved my moms salad with artichoke hearts in it. Whenever we were together” Auntie Sarah” always put the artichoke hearts in the salad just for Ed. Her saying was “Ed is coming get the artichoke hearts in the fridge”. When my mom began the long journey with dementia, we would have get togethers and he ALWAYS made her feel safe. One party we had he was sitting in a two seat recliner, she walked over, with no words exchanged, he moved over and she sat with him. He covered her legs with a blanket, put his arm around her. We all saw the look of total trust in her face, it was priceless. A look we had not seen in a long time. They sat for hours just watching TV. I will never forget that. Now God has received another angel. Be assured “Auntie Sarah” was waiting for him with the best salad with artichokes hearts in it. Your beautiful smile and infectious laugh always made me smile. You will be forever be missed Ed. Rest in eternal peace my cousin.
