To Helen's loving family:
We met Helen many years ago when Mom became friends with Helen. They lived only two doors away. Mom would take her grandson, Brian, out for a stroll in the carriage and Helen would push Christine in her stroller. Although there was a big difference in their ages, their friendship was strong and true. We loved to listen to Helen telling stories about Jimmy, especially the one where he ordered a hot dog with EVERYTHING, but then leave out the hot dog! Then there was the celebration after my wedding when Jim, Sr. played the piano at our house. I'll also remember the song he wrote, "On the Shores of Tiawana". Jim's brother Bob and his wife Bessie were also neighbors and good friends. Of course time passed very quickly and the kids all grew up. I was a Girl Scout leader for the benefit of my granddaughter, Heather and was delighted to have Megan O'Brien in my troop. Helen and Jim were there to celebrate Grandparents' Day. We lost my brother, Ray, and three weeks ago my sister, Jeanie. My sister, Ruthie, has asked me to express her sincere condolences to Jim and Chris. Both my sister and I have difficulty in getting around nowadays, but our spirits are high. We loved Helen and will always remember her smile and friendly laugh. Our sincerest sympathy in your loss.
