Obituary of Jo Ann Mussman

Please share a memory of Jo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jo Ann (Fredericks) Mussman, 50, of New Britain, passed away on March 23, 20011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Marc Mussman. Born and raised in New Britain, she was the daughter of Sylvia (Leiner) Fredericks of New Britain and the late John L. Fredericks. She is also survived by her three sons, Adam, Jason and Steven Mussman; her brothers, John R. Fredericks of Bristol and Gary Fredericks of New Britain; her two nephews, Robert and Timothy Fredericks, both of Bristol, many aunts, uncles and cousins, her in-laws, Eugene and Faye Mussman of West Hartford and her brother-in-law, Jeffrey Mussman and his partner Marie of Simsbury. Jo Ann was a caring and loving wife of 27 years and a stay at home mom who raised her sons. She loved doing crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, genealogy, and using her computer. In her later years she battled arthritis which kept her from attending memorable events that her sons were involved in. Her heart and thoughts were always with them and when they came home she would always want to hear about the events and see the pictures that were taken. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care at the UCONN Health Center, her medical team and all the nurses and staff on the 6th floor, as well as all her doctors, nurses, social workers and staff in the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, her radiation team, The VNA of Central Connecticut throughout her battle with cancer. We also want to thank The Women of the Fiber and the LL Global Quilters for making one of her last dreams come true, and to all of our friends and coworkers for your well wishes, prayers and kindness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St. New Britain. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
