Robert A. Jastrzemski, 53, of Farmington died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 19, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Maryann Tedesco. Born in New Britain, December 18, 1957, he was a son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Kron) Jastrzemski. Prior to his disability Robert previously worked construction and heavy equipment for Hartford Development and Major Machinery and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union. His passions included wildlife, nature, hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. He lived his life to the fullest and loved to laugh with friends and family.
In addition to his wife Maryann and faithful canine companion Ruby, Robert is also survived by his brothers, Stanley Jastrzemski and Anna Bastek , Peter Jastrzemski and Janet Crossman and Ronald Jastrzemski, all of New Britain. Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, three nieces and several great nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Diane Jastrzemski and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Tedesco.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:00 A.M. at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maurice Church, New Britain. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, in Rocky Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
