Obituary of Stella Rose Lattarulo

Stella Rose( Baldyga) Lattarulo, 96, of Berlin, died Tuesday Feb. 15, 2011 at the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor. Born in Housatonic MA, the daughter of the late Alec and Rosa (Olinda) Baldyga, she lived most of her life in New Britain and Berlin. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Kensington where the Saturday 4:00 P.M. Mass was the most important time in her life. She raised Chihuahuas and along with her late husband Frank "Curly" Lattarulo, she raised pedigree field Beagles. Also from her husband, Stella learned and embraced the Italian habits in her cooking and she loved to tend her garden and can vegetables. She had been employed at Park Fashion for many years. She was truly a giving person with an open heart.
Mrs. Lattarulo is survived by her beloved son, with whom she made her home, John J. "Jack" Lattarulo, who was her caregiver, for life. She is also survived by three nephews Walter Kalinowski, Fred Kalinowski and Bob Kalinowski all of Newington
Funeral services will be held Friday Morning with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Church Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Church 485Alling St. Kensington, CT 06037. The Lattarulo would like to thank the priests of St. Paul's (both current and former) as well as Deacon Oral Talbot, for their help and care with Stella. They would also like to thank the nurses of Shift 1 and Shift 2, at Monsignor Bojnowski for their expert care while she lived there.
