Margaret R. "Marge" (Holzmann) Menditto, 89, wife of the late Joseph J. Menditto, died early Saturday morning. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Uitz) Holzmann, she was a lifelong resident. For many years, she was employed at the D& L Department Store, working mostly at the Weathervane Distribution Center. She was a very active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir for most of her life, was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Ladies Guild and was involved with the Chamberlain School Mother's Club while her children were in school. She always maintained a close relationship with her friends and neighbors. Mrs. Menditto is survived by her children Thomas M. Menditto and his wife Valerie, of East Berlin, Diane R. Teodoro and her husband Vincent, of Bristol, and Lori Zisk and her husband Paul, of Kensington; six grandchildren Patricia Johnson, James Teodoro, Amanda Menditto , Megan Menditto, Heather Zisk and Michael Zisk; Five great grandchildren Marena Connors, Brooke Johnson, Savanna Johnson, Brianna Teodoro and Sara Teodoro; several nieces and nephews who knew her as Auntie Marg. She also leaves her close friends Connie Malia, Dottie Fuller, and Claire Meyer. She was predeceased by a grandson Anthony (Tony) Teodoro , a sister Emma Kahms and two brothers Ernest Holzmann and Robert Holzmann. Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Square New Britain with a service at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church 295 Arch St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
