Obituary of Joseph C. Angelo

Joseph C. Angelo, 79, of Bristol, died Wednesday (Dec. 29, 2010) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the son of Jean (Prince) Angelo and the late Carl Angelo, he lived many years in New Britain, moving to Bristol in the mid 1960's. He was employed as a tool and die maker for many years retiring from the Arthur G. Russell Company in Bristol. He was a member of the B.P.O.Elks Lodge of Bristol and was an avid sports fan, well known as a long time seasons ticket holder of the New York Giants, as well as a big UCONN Girl's Basketball fan.
In addition to his mother, Joe is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Simone (Raymond) Angelo, his sister Carole A. Manjoney of Trumbull, his brother Robert M. Angelo of Wolcott and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (Jan.4,2011) at 3:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospital of Central Connecticut 100 Grand Street New Britain, CT 06050 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
