Obituary of Ruth Goulet

Ruth E. (Parfitt) Goulet, 84, of New Britain, died Friday (Dec. 24, 2010) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Donnelly) Parfitt, she was a lifelong New Britain resident. She was married to the late Laurie J. Goulet, who died May 12, 1995. A long time employee of The Fafnir Bearing Co., she later worked in Dr. Barry Kemler's office. Mrs. Goulet is survived by her children Michael and his wife Carol Goulet of Plainville, Susan Goulet of New Britain and William Goulet; six grandchildren Amanda, Erica, Rebecca, David, Steven and Marc; a sister Margaret Pouche and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Joan Fillion. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maurice Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
