Michael L. McEnroe of New Britain, passed away at home on December 17at the age of 87. He was born on October 25, 1923 in New York City, son of the late Michael and Hanora Hogan McEnroe, and resided in New Britain for most of his life. He was predeceased by his wife Alice, brothers Thomas, and John, sisters Helen Ellie McCarthy, Nora Aiken and Betty Decker. Michael worked at the Fafnir Bearing Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1982. He leaves two sisters-in-law, Aurelia Campanario and Ruth Campanario, nieces and nephews David and Denice, Ronald and Phyllis, Michael, James and Nancy Campanario, Linda and David Oparowski, Christine and Thomas Jasonis, Nancy and Roger Thorin, Janet and Chuck Graff, Karen and Richard Shields, Carol and Norman Nassan, James and Gerardine McEnroe.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at the St. Joseph's Church, 195 South Main St. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday morning from 10 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the George Bray Cancer Center at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Thank you to the Hospital of Central Connecticut and the Jerome Home for their kindness and compassion, and a special thank you to Frank and Toni Reale, and Celina and Witold Pokorski for their continuous concern and care for Michael.
