Michael B. Roggero, 95, of West Hartford, died Monday (Nov.29,2010) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Torrington, he lived most of his life in New Britain and the last thirty years in West Hartford. He had been employed for many years at New Britain Machine for thirty seven years and was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a past Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Columbus in New Britain and was well known as an avid golfer and bridge player. Michael was predeceased by two wives Dorothy (Clerkin) Roggero and Dr. Mary (Allen) Roggero. Mr. Roggero is survived by a niece Nina Lang-Freeman of Plainville, two nephews J. Michael Lang of Plainville and Thomas Lang of Canton; five grandnieces and grandnephews; and three great grandnieces and great grandnephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the mass at the Farrell Funeral home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society 701 Russell Road Newington, CT 06111.
