Mary (LaSorsa) Lattarulo was called from this life on Tuesday August 24, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Bari, Italy on September 15, 1923. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 13, living and working in New Rochelle, NY. Family brought her to New Britain, CT where she met the love of her life, Dominic Lattarulo, to whom she was married for 53 years before his death in 1999. Mary and Dominic continued their lives in New Britain where they raised their five children in their home on Roosevelt Street. They both shared a love of camping and spent many summers at Hammonassett. Mary loved to cook and bake and was renowned for her amazing spaghetti sauce, Italian cookies and apple pie. Mary is predeceased by her husband Dominic as well as a sister Concetta (LaSorsa) Bavaro. She leaves behind her loving brothers and their wives Thomas and Josie LaSorsa and Pat and Theresa LaSorsa, all of New York. Her loving daughters and their spouses; Ann and Stanley Rudolewicz of Southington, Cathy and Ray Osden of Canton, Diane and Bob Tufano of Newington, Lynn Stepina and her companion Brian Lefurgey of Berlin, and her son and daughter in law Steven and Valeria Lattarulo who shared their home with Mary for the past 8 years. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and their spouses: Michelle and Keith Wieczorek of Kensington, Tammy and Daren Lamb of Plainville, Sheri and Kenneth DeJesus of Kensington, Corrianne Gagliardi, Nicholas Gagliardi, both of Newington, Kelsey Stepina, Mary Lattarulo and Dominic Lattarulo, all of Berlin, three great grandchildren: Matthew Wieczorek, Jillian Lamb and Hailey Wieczorek; three sisters-in-law Catherine Lattarulo, Stella Lattarulo and Marie Boccuzzio who she was especially close with; and all of her nieces and nephews of the Boccuzzio, Gardino, Lattarulo, LaSorsa and Bavaro families. She will also be deeply missed by her faithful dog Mandy, whom she adored. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq, New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 195 South Main Street, New Britain, CT. 06051. Mary's family would like to express their most sincere and wholehearted thanks to Dr. James St. Pierre for his unwavering and dedicated care. A special thank you to Jeanne Cretella, her friend and devoted caretaker. They would also like to thank the wonderful nurses and techs on N-4 and especially N-5 who made her last days so comfortable.
