OBITUARIES Angeline (Rio) Mirante, 97, of Berlin, died Friday at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Berlin, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza (Bazzano) Rio, she lived in Berlin most of her life. She was the wife of the late Joseph Mirante. A member of St. Paul's Church, she also belong to the St. Ann's Society of the church, the St. Sofia Society and the Berlin Senior Citizens. Mrs. Mirante is survived by her daughter Rosanne and her husband Joseph Golino of Wethersfield, her son Lewis and his wife Deborah Mirante of Berlin, a brother James S. Rio of Plainville, her nephew James V. Rio, his wife Debbie and their children Michael and Kayla of Plainville; a niece Angela Di Gesu, her husband Frank and their children Nicole and Matthew of Tuckahoe, NY; her special cousins Sophie Colamussi, Rose Balducci, and Louanne Mercadante and their families. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Rio. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Church, Kensington Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Church 485 Alling St. Kensington, CT. 06037 or to the Jefferson House One John Stewart Dr. Newington, CT 06111. The Mirante family would like to send a special thank you to all the nurses and aides at Jefferson House, especially Darcie, Lorna, Ceri, Monette, Heidi and Sharon Guite, for their loving care. They would also like to thank the special nurses and techs of the 4th and 5th floor at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain for their fine care.
