Obituary of Florence Swanson

OBITUARIES Florence (Moore) Swanson, 93, of Old Lyme, died Thursday, at home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Martin J. and Florence (Hartnett) Moore, she has been a resident of Old Lyme since 1968. As a nurse, she served during World War II, in the U.S. Army. After the war, she had been employed at New Britain General Hospital and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. Mrs. Swanson is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Albert J. Swanson; and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Martin Moore, Richard Moore and Donald Moore. Funeral services will be held Monday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Church 100 Wightman Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Monday Morning from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
