OBITUARIES
Anna F. (Fischer) Palance, 88, of Plainville, died Thursday at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Germany, the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Meier) Fischer, she came to the United States in 1938 and lived most of her life in Plainville. She was the widow of Philip Palance. A member of Our lady of Mercy Church, she also belonged to the A.A.R.P., the VFW Auxiliary, was an honorary life member of the Lieder Kranz, a past member of Sangerbund, and was a member of the Miller Home, where she had served on the board of directors. Among her hobbies, Anna enjoyed traveling, knitting, and gardening.
Mrs. Palance is survived by her daughter Heidi Palance of Plainville, two sons Philip M. Palance of Texas and Frank Palance of West Haven; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at
10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Plainville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 8:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq
New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plainville Volunteer Fire Dept. 77 West Main St. Plainville, CT 06062.
