Obituary of Herve Gosselin

Herve Gosselin, 103, of New Britain, died Friday Night at an area convalescent home. Born in St. Julia, Quebec, Canada, he lived most of his life in New Britain and was the widower of Ida (Brochu) Gosselin who died Feb. 21, 1971. He was employed for many years at the Stanley Works, retiring in 1971. A World War II Army Veteran, he was a member of St. Peter Church, the St. Jean the Baptist Society and a former member of the New Britain Seniors.
Mr. Gosselin is survived by his daughter Shirley and her husband Steven Ziolkowski of Planstville, three grandchildren Marc and his wife Karin Ziolkowski, Kara Keyworth and Joy-Ann and her husband Jeff Trask; three great grandchildren Matthew Ziolkowski, Felicity Keyworth, and Elijah Ziolkowski and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and a brother Imelda Cloutier, Yvette Dozois and Lionel Gosselin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at
St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain, CT 06051.
