Obituary of Anne P. Walenticonis Svitra

Anne P. Walenticonis Svitra, 57, of New Britain, died Thursday at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late John and Eva (Griska) Walenticonis, she lived all her life in New Britain. She was the wife of Arnold Svitra, who was her best friend for the last forty years. She was employed for twenty five years for the City of New Britain in the Public Telecommunications Department. Prior to that, she had worked for the New England Telephone Company. She was also know as devoted to her pets. In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by her brother Wayne and his wife Charlotte Walenticonis of Pleasant Valley, a sister Susan and her husband Larry Haynes of Newington, two nieces Kelly and her husband Brian Butler of New Britain, Jennifer Haynes and her fiancé Christopher Polkowski of New Britain and a grand niece Briannah Butler. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrews Church 396 Church St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours.
