Obituary of Marie A. Bannell

Marie A. (Natzke) Bannell, 79, of New Britain, died Tuesday night at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sophie (Hornkohl) Natzke. A graduate of New Britain High School, she lived all her life in New Britain and Plainville, was a home care giver and had worked at Ames Department Store. A favorite pastime, throughout her life, was camping at Hammonassett State Park. Marie is survived by her daughter Kim and her husband Wayne Zalaski of Southington, her son Scott and his wife Cathy Bannell of Farmington, five grandchildren Kim, David, Cassie, Michael, and Maggie, a great granddaughter Harper; her sister Barbara Golas of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Laurie Michaud and two sisters Lois Lenzi and Doris Horbul. Funeral services will be held Friday at 6:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
