OBITUARIES Loretta M. Sarra, 70, of New Britain, died peacefully surrounded by her loving children Saturday. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Louis and Nellie (Pavano) Sarra, she lived most of her life in New Britain. She graduated from New Britain High School, Adelphi University on Long Island, with an Art Degree and taught Art at Northend Elementary School in New Britain. She enjoyed art, pottery, dance and the theater. Loretta is survived by her children Maria and her husband Michael Malone, Kristina Labieniec, Robert L. Quarti, Kathleen and her husband Kenneth Davis, Susan Quarti, and their father Robert J. Quarti; her six grandsons Zakary, Jake, Erik, Antonio, Vincenzo and Sean. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church (corner of East St. and Newington Ave.) New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the New Britain Museum of American Art 56 Lexington St. New Britain, CT 06052. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Ridgeview Heathcare in Cromwell and the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain for their care and compassion given to their mother.
