Vivian F. LeBrun (Lind), 86, left this world on August 3, 2009 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Herve LeBrun of Southington for 65 years. Vivian was born on November 6, 1922 in New Britain, CT. She was a graduate of New Britain High School and the New Britain General Nursing School Class of 1943. She was a registered nurse at New Britain General Hospital until 1948 and then devoted the rest of her life to raising her family. Vivian was the loving mother of four children. She was predeceased by her son Gerald LeBrun in May 2009. She will be dearly missed by: her son Donald LeBrun and his wife Andrea of Newington; her daughter Denise Gadomski and her husband Franklin of Kensington; her daughter Deborah Michalski and her husband Christopher of Southington; Gerald's wife Patricia of Southington; several nieces and nephews and extended family members. She found great joy in caring for her nine grandchildren: Michelle, Gregory, Nicole, Dameon, Cortney, Benjamin, Kevin, Brian, Heather, and her nine great-grandchildren: Justine, Chad, Luke, Farah, Brody, Devlin, Cayden, Sydney, and Coleman. Mimere forever touched their lives with her special way of making each of them feel as though they were loved the most with her unconditional affection, never ending pride, and strong family values. Vivian enjoyed preparing and hosting Sunday dinners for her entire family; baking family favorites; knitting and crocheting; completing crosswords; and chocolate. She always put her family first and personified the life of a true matriarch. She was loved by all who knew her. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, August 6th at 9am from Farrell's Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Dominic Church in Southington. Interment will be at CT State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home to honor Vivian. The LeBrun Family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the nursing staff of C-5 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut New Britain Campus for their extraordinary care and love for our wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
