Obituary of Claire Ciesielski

Claire (Arsenault) Ciesielski, 82, of New Britain died Saturday morning at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Fall River, MA, the daughter of the late Antoine and Clarina (Levesque) Arsenault, she lived most of her life in New Britain and retired from Fafnir Bearing after several years. She was a member of St. Peter Church, where she served as a Minister of the Eucharist and a member of the French St. Ann's Society. She was an active member of the New Britain Senior Center, the New Britain Senior Bowling League, a member of the EnBee Honey Bee's Dancing Club, the Donau Club, a volunteer at the Friendship Center, an artist who enjoyed painting ceramics and sketching, crocheting and knitting and playing Pokino, Bingo and rummy with her grandsons.
Mrs. Ciesielski is survived by her daughter Claire Johansen of Bristol, her son Peter Ciesielski and his wife Mary Giglio of Middletown, a brother Alfred Arsenault of Meriden; two grandsons Peter Johansen and his wife Jennifer of Naugatuck, and Karl Johansen of Naugatuck. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore S. Ciesielski, and two brothers Roger Arsenault and Edmund Arsenault.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
