Anna Theresa (Marino) Kusy
With so much zest for life, Anna Theresa (Marino) Kusy passed away on Tuesday, June 16 in Greensburg, PA. She will be missed by all who have had the fortune of knowing her as friend, aunt, grandmother, and mother. Her almost 90 years of life have been marked by a constant giving to others. Preceded in death by her cherished husband, Mitchell Kusy, Sr., and her dear sister, Lucy Citro. Anna Theresa brought absolute joy to others through her delicious Italian cooking, gracious style, and kind words she always had about others. She leaves behind a legacy of what it means to represent the very best of human nature. As part of this legacy, her sons Richard Kusy Sr. (Greensburg), Mitchell Kusy (San Francisco), and her entire family (Angel Kusy, Nicole Kusy, Richard Kusy Jr., Scott Vrchota, Ronnie and Marie Heinzmann and their children) will always carry with them the inner beauty she shared with others. Placing others before herself, she was always thinking of ways to extend a kindness, pay a compliment, or just be a caring person to whomever she met. Family and friends were everything to her. She often quipped that her suitcase was constantly packed for the next trip to see her family and friends in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and California. On this final journey of her life, Anna Theresa will be without pain and, most importantly, be joyous once again. Visitation will be held at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051 on Friday, June 19 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. After the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Church, North Street, New Britain at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. Anna Theresa is a long-term survivor of breast cancer and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has held a special place in her heart. Donations may be forwarded to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation 350 Church St. Hartford, CT 06103. We will miss you, mom, grandma, aunt, and friend.
