OBITUARIES Mrs. Amalia M. "Mollie" (Callegari) Negro, 99, of New Britain, died Saturday Morning at Walnut Hill Care Center New Britain. She was the widow of Dominick Negro, who died in 1988. Born in Cosola, Province of Allesandria, Italy, she came to this country 90 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Negri) Callegari. She had been the manager at Frederick's Hat Shop and was also employed at D & L's Clothing Store. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, the Italian Fraternal Society of New Britain and the New Britain Senior Center. Mrs. Negro is survived by her son Richard and his wife Patricia Negro and five grandchildren, Louise Sommer of MA, Pamela Ramsdell and her husband Ralph of Southington, Joseph Kowalczyk of Vernon, Richard and his wife Lisa Negro of Plainville, Patrick and his wife Jeanette Negro of Terryville; 4 great grand children Jessica Ramsdell, Danielle, Sara, and Abigail Negro; one great great granddaughter Amalia Negro and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Gloria Kowalczyk, a sister Aurelia Negri, a brother Peter Callegari, a grandson Alan Kowalczyk and a great grandson Ralph Ramsdell, Jr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church (corner of Newington Ave. and east St.). Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Connecticut Chapter 185 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
