Obituary of John W. Quayle

John W. Quayle, 79, of Bristol, died Tuesday at an area convalescent home. Born in Orion, Illinois, January 6, 1930, he was the son of the late Vernard and Mary (Gorey) Quayle. He lived in Reynolds, IL prior to moving to Rockford, IL in 1954 and then came to Connecticut in 2002. He was employed at Twin Disc, Inc. in Rockford for many years before retiring in 1984. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. John is survived by his daughter, Cindy Quayle of Bristol; a sister Leora and her husband John Mayhew of Aledo, IL. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Deloris (Salsberry) Quayle. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial with full military honors will be held in Rock Island National Cemetery, Illinois on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.
