OBITUARIES Margaret (Deutsch) Theiner, 97, formerly of New Britain, died Saturday night at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, she lived in Austria and returned to New Britain when she was eleven and then lived in Southington from 1999. She was the widow of Paul Theiner who died Aug. 10, 2003. She was a member of St. Peter Church, the New Britain Seniors, the Stanley Seniors, was an avid Red Sox Fan and she loved to knit. Mrs. Theiner is survived by her daughter Judith and her husband Waldemar Kostrzewa of Southington, her son Paul and his wife Patricia Driscoll Theiner of Bend, Oregon; her grandchildren Laura and her husband John Rogalski, Christine and her husband Tim Connolly all of Southington, Michael Kostrzewa of Wethersfield and James and his wife Laura Theiner of New Providence, NJ, Stephen and his wife Cara Theiner and Elizabeth Theiner all of Syracuse, NY; ten great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Michael, Andrew, Kyle, Daniel, Abigail, Ranee, Henry, Gabriel and Eamonn. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Sarah Theiner and her mother Barbara Jenks Theiner, three brothers Joseph Deutsch, Frank Deutsch, Emil Deutsch, a sister Hilda Eckert; and two cousins Anna Gombatz and Pauline Kettner. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Margaret's family would like to thank the staff of Southington Care for their care and compassion extended to Margaret.
