Obituary of Polly P. Pringle

Polly (Peterson) Pringle, 91, of West Hartford, died Tuesday (March 8, 2016) at St, Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Larchmont, NY, the daughter of the late Swan and Florence (Hawley) Peterson, she lived most of her life in West Simsbury and West Hartford. Along with her late husband, William G. Pringle, Sr., they had retired to Sherman, CT and spent their summers at Spruce Harbor in Stonington, ME. Polly graduated from Bradford Junior College and the Katherine Gibbs College. She then was employed as an Executive Secretary at Cigna for many years retiring in 1981. Mrs. Pringle is survived by two sons Thomas and his wife Andrea Pringle of Avon, William and his wife Cheryl Pringle; four grandchildren Laura, Kathryn, Ian and Sarah Pringle; a sister-in-law, Frances Peterson of Baltimore, MD, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Peterson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church 814 Asylum Ave. Hartford, CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
