Alfred J. Follo, Sr., 88, of Bristol, died Saturday (Jan. 30, 2016) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Ralph and Philomena Follo, he lived most of his life in New Britain, residing in Bristol the last thirty years. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Gordon) Follo. He had worked many years at Tuttle & Bailey and later worked at the Solomon Schechter School for six years. He was a World War II Veteran and an avid Notre Dame Football fan. Mr. Follo is survived by a son Kenneth Follo of Bristol; a brother Arthur and his wife, Marj Follo of Bristol; a sister Victoria Bartusek of Southington; a grandson Matthew Follo of Plainville; a much appreciated and loved brother-in-law Robert and his wife Darleen Gordon, a special nephew, Jameson Gordon and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Alfred Follo,Jr., four brothers, Patrick Follo, Etter, Rudolp and Ralph Follo, and two sisters, Lina Hamm and Olga Lombardo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Feb.3, 2016) 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
