Carol B. (Gordon) Couture, 70, of New Britain, died at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Saturday after a long illness. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (McDermott) Gordon, she was a life long resident of New Britain. She loved helping people and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Carol is survived by her son Jay P. Couture and his wife Barbara Couture from New Britain, her son Mark Couture of New Britain,her son Brian Couture of New Britain, her daughter Tammy Couture of New Britain; two grandchildren Amy and Randy Couture, and fiancé Leanne DiMauro. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lisa T. Coleman of Plainville, Shante' and Jenna Mack of Plainville, Janet Thomkins of New Britain and Thomas Newton of New Britain; and great grandchildren, Jenni-Le Oakes and Randall Sherman, Jr. of New Britain and Anastasia Cartagena of New Britain. She was predeceased by her son Robert A. Couture and her life long partner John Cockowski. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home,110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CT Children's Medical Center, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT 06106. The Family would like to thank all the staff of The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, "You were great".
