Obituary of Edward F. Sarisley

Edward F. Sarisley, 86, of New Britain, died Friday Night at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in New Britain, he was a Sales Manager with Cushman Industries for twenty six years, retiring in 1982. A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, he was a well known Jazz Musician having played at Carnegie Hall, The Bushnell, the Oakdale Theater and on Carnival and Rotterdam Cruises. He also belonged to the New Britain and Hartford Musician's Union. A devoted husband and father he was also a World War II 8th Air Force Veteran, and an avid golfer. Edward is survived by his wife Vivian (Allen) Sarisley, four children and their spouses Nancy Costanzo of Hampden, MA, James Boughamer of New Britain, Edward Sarisley, Jr. of Andover, and Brian Sarisley of Somers, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother George Sarisky.
Visitation will be Tuesday Morning Sept. 23, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church, Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
