Virginia R. Connors, 83, of New Britain and formerly of Berlin died September 14, 2008 at the John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Born in New Britain, November 14, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Tomscheck) Connors. She lived in Berlin for 40 years before returning to New Britain in 2002 and was an active member of St. Joseph's Church. Mrs. Connors also worked as a unit secretary for the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain for over 13 years before her retirement. She is survived by her son, John Bialo and Rochelle Hanschen of Anchorage, AK, three grandchildren, Danielle Bialo of Helena, MT, Dustin Bialo, training in the U.S. Navy Boot Camp and Seanne Bialo of Anchorage, AK, a sister, Rita Turner of Kensington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Roseann Bailey, Mary Connors and Janie Archer.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Cemetery, Section E, New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospital for Special Care, 2150 Corbin Ave., New Britain, CT. 06053. The Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
