Obituary of Joan Roy

Joan M. Roy, 92, formerly of New Britain, died Sunday (Oct. 25, 2015) at St. Mary Home in West Hartford. Born in St. Camille, Quebec, Canada, she lived most of her life in Plantsville and New Britain. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Beaudoin) Roy. She was a member of St. Jerome Church and it's choir. Joan is survived by a brother Joseph and his wife Denise Roy of Canada, a sister Elizabeth and her husband Donald Messenger of Arizona and several nieces and nephews . Funeral services will be held Thursday (Oct.29, 2015) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road New Britain. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq.
