Obituary of Anna M. Martin

Anna M. Martin, 98, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away peacefully with her son Ted & His Partner Karen by her side in Springfield Hospital, Vermont on September 23rd. She was the wife of the late Joseph Martin a retired New Britain Police Officer. Born in Hartford and living most of her life in New Britain, Anna was employed by Levy's Lady's Clothing Store, and was a member of St. Maurice Church, before retiring to Spring Hill, Florida, Ann was a world traveler, had a zest for life and was always independent and optimistic doing things her way. She was an amazing lady, had you known her in life. Anna is survived by her two sons Tom Martin (Daughter-in-Law Deborah Martin), and Ted Martin (partner Karen Sokolowski). Grandchildren: Laura Buckman, Greg Martin, Marc Martin, and Kristoffer Martin; Anna's Sister Jen Kochanowsky, three great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Initial calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. Funeral services will be held Friday morning October 2nd starting from the funeral home at 9 AM with a Mass at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church 158 Broad St. New Britain.
