Obituary of David J. Barrows

David Jackson Barrows, 77, formerly of New Britain, died Monday (Aug. 31, 2015) at the Apple Rehab in Plainville, Born in New Britain, the son of the late Robert and Florence (Rivers) Barrows , he lived many years in New Britain, moving to Southington eight years ago. While at New Britain High School, he was part of the 1955 football team that traveled to Florida. He was employed for many years at New Britain Machine. He enjoyed sports and spent many years coaching Midget Football. David is survived by his wife Judith (Knight) Barrows, his daughter Deborah and her husband Richard Plumb of Enfield, his son David Jackson Barrows, Jr. and his significant other, Linda of Providence, RI; three grandchildren Brigitte Tiano, Jonathan Plumb, and Jeffrey Plumb; three great grandchildren Nathan Tiano, Adam Tiano, and Josie Tiano; a sister Florence Cegielski of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
