Obituary of Elizabeth M. Campanelli

Elizabeth M Campanelli (Liz) 88 of Berlin, CT surrounded by her loving family joined her husband Alfred (Fritz) and son Alfred Jr. in heaven on August 29, 2015. Born September 26, 1926 to the late Walter & Isabella (MacGregor)Main of Plainville, CT. Elizabeth was preceded by her sister Gwendoline Sunderland of Southington, CT. Elizabeth leaves her two sisters, Myrtle Hurlburt and husband Clyde of Lakeland, FL and Arlene Jones of Southington, CT . , along with their loving families, two sons and their families, Peter and Beth Campanelli of Berlin, CT their daughter Nicole Campanelli & Marco Barbagallo of New Britain, CT. John and Kristina Campanelli of Andover MA, their son and family, Keith and Jennifer Campanelli great grand children Jake, Ali and Mason of Brownsburg, IN. daughter Christine Campanelli of Chicago, Il. Daughter in-law Lois Campanelli and her daughters Kristin Campanelli of Berlin, CT and Alison and Mik Matwieiczuk of Burlington, CT. friends Gladys and Warren Carpenter of Rocky Hill, CT. along with several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth graduated from Plainville High School in 1944 married and moved to Berlin in 1960 where she raised her family and became a devoted member of the Berlin Congregational Church. Elizabeth retired from Sirois Tool in 1992. She was also a member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary; Volunteer for the Friendship Center of New Britain and a life member of the Power House Gym. Elizabeth became a resident of the Andrew House Nursing Home in 2010 where she made many friends, which she considered her extended family. A Memorial service and reception will be held September 3, 2015 10 AM at the Berlin Congregational Church, 878 Worthington Ridge, Berlin. Burial will be held privately at St. Mary's Cemetery. Farrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
