OBITUARIES Ilma J. (Oldfield) Charboneau, 83, of Farmington, beloved mother and grandmother, died Wednesday Aug. 6, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. . Born in Australia, the daughter of the late George and Charlotte (Caldwell) Oldfield, she moved to England as a child during World War II where she met and married her late husband Lawrence Charboneau. They moved to Hartford in 1946 and then resided in Farmington since 1952. She worked many years for the Statler-Hilton Hotel in Hartford and was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Farmington. Mrs. Charboneau is survived by a son Alan and his wife Karen Charboneau of West Valley City, Utah, two daughters Linda and her husband Andrew Bartlewski of East Hartford, Lorraine and her husband Adrian Mcllveen of Farmington, and ten grandchildren Angela Mcllveen and Shannon Mcllveen, Alan Charboneau, Patricia Charboneau Ruiz, David Charboneau, Michelle Charboneau, Jonathan Charboneau, Destiny Charboneau, Donny Charboneau and Dalton Charboneau; and a great granddaughter Ashley Ruiz. She will be forever remembered for her extraordinary scrabble and jigsaw puzzle skills. Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, Main St. Farmington. Burial will follow in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be Made to the Disabled American Veteran's 35 Cold Spring Road Rocky Hill, Suit 315 Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3102
