Obituary of Harry Soucy

Harry Soucy, 95, of New Britain, died Sunday (March 22,2015) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Canada, the son of the late Paul and Alberta (Bertha) (Daigle) Soucy, he came to New Britain in 1955 and was employed for many years at Topper & Griggs. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the St. Jean's Society, and the French Model Club. He was the widower of Gertrude (Thibodeau) Soucy. Mr. Soucy is survived by his daughter Rella and her husband Richard Bernabucci of Colchester; his son Donald Soucy of Folsom, CA; 5 grandchildren, Corey, Heather, Elaine, Sarah and Danielle; a special friend, Marie Raboin and her family, Theresa, Claire, Patricia, Jeannette, Patrick, Paule, and Robert; a brother , Gilbert and his wife Carmella Soucy of So. Windsor and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and her husband Cecile and Leo Albert. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
