Obituary of Anne Wise

Anne M. (Karlonas) Wise, 97, of New Britain, died Saturday (Mar. 7, 2015) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Peter and Sofia (Olenkavich)Karlonas, she was a life long resident there. She was the wife of the late Dr. Raymond T. Wise. During her long life, she received her nursing license from St. Francis School of Nursing and practice briefly at area hospitals and as an industrial nurse. She was an accomplished local golfer, a skilled bowler, and held a Life Master ranking in contract Bridge. She was a lifelong devout practicing Catholic. Mrs. Wise is survived by three sons Raymond T. Wise, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Robert P. Wise and his wife Victoria of Lebanon, New Jersey, and Philip M. Wise and his wife Ronna of Contoocock, NH; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Wise. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Maurice Church 100 Wightman Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
