Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Donald J. Corriveau, 55, of Southington, passed away of natural causes at his home on March 3, 2015. He was born in New Britain, CT, to Robert and Jeannine (Gorneau) Corriveau. Don was a devoted and very proud father to Eric Tylor Corriveau, a graduating senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Olivia Faye Corriveau, currently a freshman at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. He was predeceased by his wife, their mother, Sandra (Sirois) Corriveau, in 2008. Don was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Southington for many years beginning in 1996, an avid Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan - but he was welcomed in the homes of his family anyway! His infectious sense of humor was warm and endearing. He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law, Dale and Tammy of Plainville, his sisters and brother-in-laws, Brenda and Walter Perun of East Hampton and Debra and Mark Szafran of New Hartford. He was cherished and loved by his many nieces and nephews, Jessica, Larysa, and Alexander Szafran, Shane and Chelsi Corriveau, Dan and Damon DePaolo with their wives, Cassandra and Kimberly and their children, Gregory and Christopher Perun, and numerous aunts, uncles extended family and friends. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic's Church 1050 Flanders Rd. Southington. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Olivia's College Fund c/o of Robert Corriveau 23 Provencher Dr. Plainville, CT 06062.
