As mentioned earlier: simply, Ron Schmitt represented the best of the United States in the modern era. He was always attentive and conscientious, despite the zany “generation gap” issues of the tumultuous 1960s and 1970s. With me, a friend of his soon Larry, he took time to provide feedback on the teaching profession as a vocation, and provided candid, informative answers that helped me make the right choice. And I know he provided counsel for many others. He was a terrific role model. For this reason and others, Lily & I know that he is in a better place now. Joseph Lazzaro Lily Orlova New York
