Roland Chasse, 82, went to eternal rest on Sunday (Dec. 21, 2014). Born in St. Agatha, ME, the son of the late Paul and Rose (Guerrett) Chasse, he lived most of his life in New Britain. He retired from Stanley Works, and was a member of the French Model Club and the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Daly Council #12 and 4th Degree Bishop Tierny Council. He was predeceased by his son Roland. Mr. Chasse is survived by his wife Simone (Levesque) Chasse, two brothers Joel of Bristol, and Jean Paul of Southington,; two sisters Joan Theriault of Bristol, and Sister Hilda Chasse of the Little Franciscians of Mary, Worchester, MA; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday (Dec. 29th) 9:00AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A M at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitations will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Members of the Color Guard of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus are asked to meet at the funeral home Sunday at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Bishop Tierney Assembly, Vocations Fund; P.O. Box 3015 New Britain, CT 06050.
