Alida Gonzalez, 68, of New Britain, passed away peacefully at the Andrew House Healthcare facility, early Sunday morning (Nov. 23, '14) after a 3 year battle with cancer. She enjoyed taking long walks, had a great sense of humor, was independent and loved to socialize. Alida always took pride in her appearance; her favorite color was Red. Attending and being a member of St. Mary's parish was a big part of her life. Alida is survived by three daughters and one son, Lissette and husband Bill Sforza; Jesenia Gonzalez; Marisol Rivera and Felix Munoz; three grandchildren, Jesenia, Felix and Jonathan; a sister Silvia Rivera and several nieces and nephews.
