finally was able to find this site wanting to leave a message for my cousin steve I was just so happy to be able to visit with him and my other cousins last year after I had lost contact with everyone I was elated to hear from everyone once again losing a family member is terribly difficult you really never get OVER it the sadness never wanes steve was so caring of me demanding I come and visit and paying for the whole trip there must have been a reason for that get together and now this was it his mom and dad took myself and and sister mary ann in after we were sent to an orphanage because my grandmother had passed away my aunt jen was hospitalized with lung problems and was in a sanitarium and my dad was in a va hospital they opened up their home to us amazing anyway became close to steve mark and jane remained close until I moved away anyways after so many years apart we reunited and it was wonderful I know everyone is missing him so as well as myself the pain of him being gone will never go away I am sending my love and thoughts to the whole family Suzanne decanditis stevens cousin

it is with a heavy heart that i write these few words steven had always showed much concern for me and my family it was a wonderful experience to have been able to visit with everyone last year something i will treasure forever without saying it was his mom and dad that took my sister and myself in when my aunt jen became ill and gave us so much love and care these memories will never be forgotten please know that i appreciated everything i will truly miss him a wonderful cousin and friend his cousin suzanne

Steve was always available to offer assistance and support to others during his entire life. He remains a brother from our Belvedere neighborhood in NB. His memories of playing sports, going on dates (especially proms),repairing cars, NY GIANT fans,and just sharing stories. Servicing in the US Marine Corps with his many experiences while in the Corp made him proud. I can't tell you how much I miss you. I only wish that we could have had one last time together.
