Obituary Vincent "Jim" Carpinteri, entered into eternal rest on Friday May 23rd. Although his death was very unexpected, he died peacefully in the loving grips of his family. He intensely adored his nieces and nephews and was passionate about his great niece and nephews. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Theresa Carpinteri. He enjoyed life as a sales associate of Lord and Taylor, especially the people (his customers and co-workers) having a joke for everyone at any time. A graduate of New Britain High School, he worked as a Recreation Director at a nursing home, then at Sage Allen, before joining Lord and Taylor. He sang for many years in St. Ann's Choir and was also a member of St. Maurice Church. Jim was a past member of the Lions Club and a member of the Unico Club. He is survived by two sisters Josephine (Carpinteri) and her husband Ted Camilleri of Rocky Hill and Marie (Carpinteri) and her husband Vito Luisi of Berlin and nieces and nephews Scott and his wife Lisa Camilleri, Vincent and his wife Julie Mure, Theresa and her husband John Ward, Ann Marie and Benjamin Rosado and their dog Brutus and Michael Luis and his dog Coco. He is also survived by five great nephews and one great niece Adam, Matthew, Brett, Jason Camilleri, Logan and Lucia. He was predeceased by two sisters, Santina Mure and Jean Carpinteri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Connecticut 205 West Main St. New Britain, CT 06051.
