OBITUARIES Mary Weber, 83, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Jan. 2, 2008) at home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Karl and Maria (Kohler) Weber, she was raised in Austria and returned to this country in 1947. Baptized in St. Peter Church, Mary was a long time member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She had been employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. and Precision Grinding Co. Inc. She belonged to The Austrian Donau Singers Association, The Austrian Donau Club and the Hartford Liederkranz. Mary was well known as a great homemaker, gardener and for her needlework. Mrs. Weber is survived by her husband Richard D. Weber; her daughter Annabelle and her husband Charles A. Keene of Bellevue, Nebraska, two granddaughters Alice F. Keene of Vernon, Texas and Clair L. Keene of Bellevue, Nebraska; three sisters Gisela Weber of Cassopolis, Michigan, Emma Kern of Vienna, Austria, Teresa Rosenwirth of Stafa, Switzerland; three brothers Al Weber of Torrington, Franz Weber of Kalch, Austria, Helmut Weber of Krottendorf , Austria and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the George Bray Cancer Center at the Hospital of Central Connecticut 100 Grand St. New Britain, 06050, to the American Lung Association 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
