Cecile Plourde 94, of New Britain, died December 28th at Plainville Health Care. Born in Stockholm Maine, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Modeste (Chasse) Plourde and lived most of her life in New Britain. She had been employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. She was a member of St. Peter Church, The Ladies Guild at St. Peter's and the St. Ann's Society. Mrs. Plourde was predeceased by her husband, Damase Plourde. She is survived by two sons: Joseph (Ray) Plourd and his wife Joan of Plainville, and Reginald Plourde of Long Island, NY, four daughters: Linda Zavecz of New Britain, Jacqueline and her husband Douglas Blowers of Cromwell, Maryann Cumbo and her husband Ralph Paul of Plainville, and Joanne Stuckey of McDonough, Georgia, eleven Grandchildren and twelve Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
