OBITUARIES
Concetto Teodoro, 92, of New Britain, passed away Sunday Nov. 11, 2007 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Solarino, Sicily, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Giuseppe (Gozzo) Teodoro. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Giuseppe, Paolino and Nunzio and by his sisters Cecelia, Concettina and Lucia.
Concetto was very proud of all his children and loved them very much, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a World War II Veteran, serving from 1936 to 1945 in the Italian Army, where he was a corporal and then a sergeant, he was president of the Reducci of Italy. Also, while in Italy, he owned his own business as a furniture builder and became a house builder in this country. He loved working in the garden, planting tomatoes, beautiful flowers, and going out. He did all his little jobs up in the workshop above his garage that he built at the age of 77. He built things with pride and joy, that he would give to his children and friends. In addition, Concetto worked thirteen years at Tuttle and Bailey.
Concetto is survived by his wife of 65 years Pierina (Terzo) Teodoro; two sons Vincent and his wife Diane Teodoro of Bristol, Paul and his wife Susan Teodoro of New Britain, two daughters Josephine and her husband Mike Rosano of Bristol, Paula and her husband Raymond Archacki of Wethersfield; eight grandchildren Patti Johnson, James Teodoro, Tony Teodoro, Marc Gonsalves, Michael Gonsalves, Ray Archacki, Lea Archacki Angela Teodoro; eight great grandchildren Marena, Brooke, Savanna, Destiny, Brianna, Sara, Austin an Andrew.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at
9:30 A.M. at St. Ann's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
